Your base account number is rooted in your electronic account number. If you take the final 7 digits of the electronic account number, drop the final digit and you will have your base account number.

Your base account number for Vic is derived from your full 10-digit account number and is typically 4 to 6 digits long. To identify it from your checking, remove the first digit '8' and any zeros that follow, as well as the final digit of the account number. The remaining digits in between represent your base account number.

*The Bold Numbers indicate your base account number to provide to Vic.

Once your account is 30 days old, you can take advantage of the "Manage Payees" tool in your Online Banking Portal or mobile app. To get started, choose "External Account Payee". You will need to submit the name of your external bank or credit union, the account number, and the routing number. Over the next 1-2 business days, you will see two small deposits into your external account.

You will then return to the UMCU Online Banking Portal or mobile app, where you will enter in the amounts of those small deposits to verify. At that point, you're all set.
Please note: once you're properly linked, these transfers have no fees and can take 1-2 business days. Click here to watch a helpful video tutorial on this topic!
